When Cheap Trick played four days at the Metro in Chicago, and played each of their first four albums in their entirety, they asked me to do a photo shoot with them on the roof of the entrance to the club on the afternoon of one of the shows. I set up two layers of scaffolding on the sidewalk so that I could be at the same height as the band, and called someone to get the band. As the band walked out on the roof, the Cubs game at Wrigley Field (across the street) ended and thirty thousand drunk baseball fans left the game and quite a few of them walked next to and under the scaffolding I was on as I was shooting. WE caused quite a traffic jam. As the shoot ended, Rick Nielsen grabbed one of his favorite guitars and propped it up on the roof. I took a few frames and one of them ended up being the cover of the live album.
