Santana and Michelle Branch

In August of 2002, I was asked by Carlos’ record company to shoot stills on the set of a video being made in Chicago for the song “The Game of Love” which was the single from his album featuring Michelle Branch on vocals. So off to Pilsen (The Mexican-American neighborhood in Chicago) I went to spend a day on the set, the stars couldn’t have been nicer- Carlos must have signed an autograph for every person in the neighborhood, and I heard the song way more times than I ever wanted to hear it!!

A scene under the elevated train tracks. There are no sparks here in real life, but special effects took care of that. The only spot I could find to not be in camera range was to crawl under a car for the duration of the scene.

The climactic scene in the video was a street party, where the neighborhood got a free concert for a couple of hours.
