Centerstage

In 1992 and 1993, WTTW, the PBS outlet in Chicago decided to bring back the Soundstage series that they had produced in the early 1980’s. They were going to call it Centerstage, and follow the lead of Soundstage by booking an across the board, eclectic set of performers. They also shared the production with VH1. The show would air commercial-free on PBS for one hour. It was then edited down to 1/2 hour with commercials on VH1.

December 28th, 1992  Keith Richards was the highlight of the series.
