May 14th, 1988 in New York City. In May of 1988, Atlantic Records celebrated the 40th anniversary of their being. Atlantic was celebrated as being a groundbreaking force in the history of R&B, Soul and Rock and Roll. I was in New York at Madison Square Garden for the entire event, which included a reunion of sorts of Led Zeppelin, one of Atlantic Records biggest Rock band.
